Books With Purpose is a special initiative created by author Jessica Schoettle to help nonprofits and charitable organizations raise funds through the power of storytelling.
Every three months, one nonprofit organization will be selected to partner with Books With Purpose. Together, we’ll create a custom children’s book inspired by your mission, story, or cause.

By combining storytelling with fundraising, we can help nonprofits reach new audiences, share their mission, and generate ongoing support through a book families will treasure for years to come.

Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from:
• Registered nonprofits
• Children’s organizations
• Animal rescues and shelters
• Community outreach programs
• Educational foundations
• Family support organizations
• Health and wellness charities

How the Program Works
✅ Nonprofits submit an application.
✅ One organization is selected every three months.
✅ A custom children’s book is written and published.
✅ The nonprofit receives a personalized fundraising link.
✅ 100% of book profits are donated directly to the selected nonprofit.
For the first 12 months following publication:
• 100% of profits from Amazon and online book sales will be donated directly to the selected nonprofit.
• The nonprofit may purchase books at printing cost and resell them at any price they choose, keeping 100% of the profits from those sales.
This allows organizations to benefit from both online sales and in-person fundraising opportunities such as events, gift shops, community programs, fundraisers, and retail partnerships.
After the Fundraising Period
After the 12-month fundraising campaign ends, the book may remain available for purchase online. Future royalties will support the Books With Purpose program, helping fund the creation of books for additional nonprofits and causes.

Each completed project will be featured in our Success Stories gallery, highlighting the organization, the book we created together, funds raised, and photos from the partnership.

Benefiting the Tilly Harder Memorial
Our first Books With Purpose partnership helped turn a meaningful story into real impact. Tilly’s Rainbow Adventure was created to honor Tilly’s memory and support her memorial fund. Thanks to the incredible support of the community, readers, and local businesses, the book raised more than $600 in the first 15 days alone. Benefiting Bob’s House for Dogs
Our second Books With Purpose partnership is helping support a place built on love, comfort, and second chances.
Bob’s Pawprints: Charlie’s Journey Home was created to share the heart behind Bob’s House for Dogs and the incredible work they do for senior dogs and cats in need.
Inspired by Bob, the special dog whose legacy helped create this loving home, the story follows Charlie as Bob’s pawprints guide him through Bob’s House and show him that even older animals deserve a place to feel safe, loved, and at home.
100% of the proceeds from in-person and online book sales are donated directly back to Bob’s House for Dogs, helping them continue providing care, comfort, and love to the animals who need it most.
This partnership is a reminder that one little pawprint can leave a lasting impact—and one story can help that love continue.
